چکیده
Abstract Phthalates are pollutants ubiquitous in the environment. Human exposure to phthalates and their endocrine disrupting effects have been widely studied. Therefore, European Union forbids toys, cosmetic kitchenware manufacturing. However, phthalate metabolites can still be found human biological matrices. The purpose of this study is investigate over time a group Italian healthy newborns. In prospective cohort study, we enlisted 187 women who gave birth University Hospital Modena, Italy, between January 2019 May 2020. Urine samples from after delivery infants at birth, 3 6 months were collected 8 analysed. Descriptive statistics calculated preliminary correlation coefficients tests performed. Monoethylphthalate (MEP) was always detectable urine samples. MEP, monomethylphthalate diethylhexylphthalate showed an increasing trend time, while monobutylphthalate monobenzylphthalate decreasing levels time. Associations mother infant pairs for few metabolites, appeared often significantly associated. Infants’ Modena high prolonged even those more toxic strictly regulated. As presence indoor environment risk factor especially most fragile groups population, such as children, public Health campaigns addressing childbearing age should stress about posed by these substances how avoid exposure. Moreover, regulatory actions stricter legislation considered. Key messages • Italy phthalates, including forbidden, appears continuous Public heath intervention

Cancer and developmental exposure to endocrine disruptors.
Developing organisms have increased susceptibility to cancer if they are exposed to environmental toxicants during rapid growth and differentiation. Human studies have demonstrated clear increases in cancer after prenatal exposure to ionizing radiation, and there is suggestive evidence that brain tumors and leukemia are associated with parental exposures to chemicals. Animal experiments have de...

Growth in the first year of life may already be predictive of obesity later in childhood. The objective was to assess the association between prenatal exposure to various endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and child growth during the first year. Dichloro-diphenyldichloroethylene (DDE), mono(2-ethyl-5-carboxypentyl)phthalate (MECPP), mono(2-ethyl-5-hydroxyhexyl)phthalate (MEHHP), mono(2-ethyl...

Exposure to exogenous chemicals can affect endocrine function at multiple sites and through numerous specific modes of action, which may have far-reaching effects on human health and development. Widespread human exposure to known or suspected endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) has been documented in the United States and worldwide, as have trends for increased rates of endocrine-related dis...

-The gut microcolony assay has been used to measure damage to intestinal crypts by single and split doses of 3 alkylating agents: mechlorethamine hydrochloride (HN2), bis-chloroethyl-nitrosourea (BCNU) and isopropyl methane sulphonate (IMS). The single-dose survival curves for whole crypts were distinguished by extrapolation numbers (3-0, 176 and 15 respectively) that were lower than most previ...
متن کاملEndocrine Disruptors in Endometriosis
Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent disease, which involves the growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavity, commonly in the pelvic region. The etiology of the disease is unclear, but multiple factors may contribute to its prognosis. Toxicological studies indicate that many chemicals are able to interfere with endocrine homeostasis, called endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDC) lik...
